Direct and Large Eddy Simulation (DLES)

Started in 1994, the biannual DLES Workshop highlights state-of-the-art techniques for the simulation of turbulent flows, with a particular focus on resolving instantaneous flow structures either partially or fully. As computational power continues to grow, these approaches are becoming increasingly relevant, even for industrial applications at high Reynolds numbers. The workshop also covers hybrid modeling strategies that combine LES and RANS methods, including advances in wall-modeled LES.
