    Purpose and focus of the Pilot Centre The UK Pilot Centre for ERCOFTAC is run by the UK Fluids Network (UKFN) . At the heart of UKFN is a set of 39 Special Interest Groups , many of which overlap with the ERCOFTAC SIGs. More than 900 academics are involved in the UKFN SIGs, distributed around the UK at over 60 institutions .
