European Drag Reduction and
Flow Control Meeting

ERCOFTAC Special Interest Group (SIG20) - Drag Reduction and Flow Control and the Institute of Fluid Mechanics (ISTM) of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) are pleased to announce the next European Drag Reduction and Flow Control Meeting (EDRFCM2019) at the Black Forest spa of Bad Herrenalb (30 km south of Karlsruhe).


Subjects

All laminar & turbulent drag reduction and flow & noise control studies, including: riblets, surface roughness,compliant walls, polymer & surfactant additives,synthetic jets, super- hydrophobic surfaces, flexible structures, wall oscillations, travelling waves, flow separation control, plasma flow control and electro-magnetic control.

The meeting will be held at the Haus der Kirche http://www.hdk.ev-akademie-baden.de/, Bad Herrenalb, 30 km south of Karlsruhe in Germany.

Accommodation is available in the Haus der Kirche for participants.

Registration

The registration fee is expected to be around 400 EURO (reduced to 350 EURO for ERCOFTAC members),which includes 3-night full-board accommodations at the House der Kirche and coffees/teas over the 4-day meeting and a Book of Abstract.


Scholarships

We encourage the attendance of PhD students and young researchers. Limited funding is available to cover a part of travel expenses and/or registration fees. Applications for a scholarship can be made by sending an e-mail to the meeting organisers with a support letter from the supervisor.
