ERCOFTAC Drag Reduction and Flow Control special interest group (SIG20) is pleased to announce the next
European Drag Reduction and Flow Control Meeting (EDRFCM 2026) which will take place at Universidad Carlos III Madrid, Spain.
Theoretical, numerical and experimental studied on drag reduction and flow control, including riblets, surface roughness, porous surface and compliant walls; use of polymer & surfactant additives, synthetic jets, super- hydrophobic surfaces, browing and suction, wall oscillations and travelling waves; flow separation control, transition control, plasma flow control, electro-magnetic flow control, AI and data-driven flow control.
Abstract submission deadline: 1st June 2026
Notification of acceptance: 16th June 2026
The registration fee is expected to be around 360 EURO (reduced to 320 EURO for ERCOFTAC members), which includes lunch, coffee and tea over the 4-day meeting and a Book of Abstract. It also includes a ticket to a banquet to be held on the second evening of the meeting.
