By plane: There are three airports through which you can reach Magdeburg, Berlin-Tegel, Berlin-Schönefeld and Leipzig-Halle. The airport Leipzig-Halle is located about 120 km from Magdeburg. Trains to Magdeburg leave every hour and take about 1.5 hours.

From the Berlin airports it is a bit sophisticated to reach Magdeburg. From Schönefeld (160 km) you must take S-Bahn to Ostbahnhof and then the train which take about three hours and from Tegel (150 km) you first take a bus to Bahnhof Zoo and then take the train (about 2.5 hours).

By train: Magdeburg Central Station can be reached by IC train from Leipzig, Frankfurt, Dresden, Nuremberg and Berlin. From the central station to the Lukasklause you can walk in about 30 minutes (2 km).

By car: From North leave the motorway A2 at exit 70 (Magdeburg-Zentrum), drive on B189 – it changes to B71, exit B1 direction Cityring Nord/Zentrum-Nord, follow Walther-Rathenau-Straße/B1 to Schleinufer.

From South leave the motorway A14 at exit 5 Magdeburg-Sudenburg, drive on B81 direction Magdeburg-Sudenburg/Magdeburg-Zentrum, next B71 (signs to A2/B189/Berlin-Hannover/Haldensleben/Zentrum), exit B1 direction Cityring Nord/Zentrum-Nord, follow Walther-Rathenau-Straße/B1 to Schleinufer.

Free parking places available in Rötgerstraße 8 (on the left side when entering the courtyard), 150 m from Lukasklause. Map is available here.
