XXV Fluid Mechanics Conference Report

The scientific program of the Conference consisted of plenary lectures, sectional lectures and poster presentations. Conference topics were devoted to: aerodynamics, combustion, computational fluid dynamics, experimental fluid mechanics and measurement techniques, flow machinery, general fluid dynamics, interdisciplinary areas in heat and fluid flow, micro-, nano- and bio-flows, multi-phase flows, turbulence.

Over 130 scientists from Poland and abroad (China, USA, Sweden, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Australia), representing 30 research centers, Universities, scientific institutions and companies from around the world, took part in the three-day Conference sessions(7-9 September 2022). The results of the latest researches were delivered during 94 presentations: 70 sectional lectures in frames of 15 fluid mechanics thematic sessions and 24 presented during the poster session. Furthermore five plenary lectures were given by invited outstanding scientists.

Also, an industrial session was organized, where the possibilities of the latest hardware and software for conducting research in the field of fluid mechanics were presented by the companies.

The Prof. J. W. Elsner Competition for the best fluid mechanics paper has been organized under the auspices of ERCOFTAC and PTMTiS. The chairman of the Competition jury was Prof. Andrzej Boguslawski. The competition session was organized on the first day of the conference. The winners of the Competition has been: Michał Rajek (1. place), Tomasz Prokop (2. place) and Lena Caban (3. place). Prize of the Rector of Rzeszow University of Technology, for the best poster presented during the poster session of the Conference, received Emil Marchewka et al.

We believe that the FMC2022 will be an inspiration for further fluid mechanics research.
