INTRODUCTION:
The ERCOFTAC Pilot Centers of South and North Germany are jointly organizing the 17th ERCOFTAC Technology Day on Thursday,3 December 2026. During the event, members of both Pilot Centers will give presentations on key areasof their work. The topics range from fluid mechanics and turbulence research through to
flows involving combustion, flow acoustics and the application of modern flow measurement techniques. The speakers are experts in their respective fields who have been publishing papers at an international level for many years. The objective of the event is to improvethe exchange of information between members of the institutions and to inform interested parties from industry about technical and scientific developments and innovations in the field of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Ample opportunity will be provided for direct discussions following the presentations and during the breaks. The aim is thus to foster close links between research and industry.
In recent years, the event has always been very well received, attracting around 100 participants. For companies in particular, the event offers an opportunity to quickly find out about activities in the field of fluid mechanics, turbulence and combustion in Germany. This year, we have placed a particular focus on the latest developments and applications of fluid mechanics in large-scale fluid stimulation for industrial applications.
REGISTRATION FEE:
The registration fee is 150 euros (75 euros for ERCOFTAC members). This includes coffee breaks and refreshments. To help us plan for the number of attendees, participants and speakers are required to register by email by 27 November 2026. Any profits from the event will be donated to an initiative run by the Pilot Centre South Germany called ‘Young ERCOFTAC’.
