This face-to-face workshop was organised by SIG50 (with the support of SIG35) and took place on the 12th-16th May 2025 at the École Centrale de Lyon, Écully, France.
For the first time, Principal Investigators (PIs), Co-Investigators (Co-Is), and technical staff from all the Solar Orbiter “in situ” instruments - Energetic Particle Detector (EPD), Magnetometer (MAG), Radio Plasma Waves (RPW), and Solar Wind Analyzer (SWA) together with members of the working groups - gathered for a dedicated scientific workshop focusing on the latest advances in exploring the interplanetary medium and the Sun.
Sixty participants from ten countries (France, Spain, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, the UK, and the US) - including over one-third postdoctoral researchers, PhD and undergraduate students - engaged in a week of in-depth exchanges during dedicated sessions, as well as informal exchanges during lunch and coffee breaks.
