Presentation and Objectives

The Polydisciplinary Faculty of Laracheat Abdelmalek Essaadi University will hostthe Workshop on Complex Turbulent Flows focused on the subject of EnvironmentalTurbulence.The main motivation for this workshop is to study in depth the advancedmethods used to study non-linear and multi-fractal aspects of Turbulence and theireffects on non-homogeneous,non-isotropic and non-stationary media and their environmental,astrophysicaland geophysical applications.These complex techniques are fundamental in real complex flows ,in environmental studies,to predict diffusion and mixing,such as atmospheric and ocean pollutants in soil processes and percolation,in sediment transport,heatand mass transport,Convection etc.The dynamics,direct and inverse(Energy,VorticityandHelicity)cascadesin turbulence at different scales will be discussed as an activity of the ERCOFTAC PAN-EUROPEAN Laboratory on Non-homogeneous Turbulence.
